As much as a dramatic location can set the stage for a stunning editorial, sometimes shooting in the studio is a more complementary frame for both the model and the wardrobe. ‘Baby Blues’, shot for the Libertine by photographer Willy Ward, is just such a story. Featuring rising star Britt Nicholas, the editorial’s palette of deep blues beautifully contrasts with the models natural warmth. Britt’s easy energy gives the shoot a clean and cool feel that finds its perfect marriage in the denim ensembles compiled by stylist Ellen Purtill. Her casual outfits are offset by the feminine hair and beauty stylings of artist Jaclyn Hnitko.
As the Libertine makes its transition into our Fall Flight series, we are constantly consuming a steady stream of new talent and amazing artistry. We could not be more excited than to share a collaboration from this team of blooming talents! Enjoy!

The Libertine has the tremendous pleasure of collaborating again with master photographer, Adolfo Valente on a new sensual masterpiece entitled ‘Comely, Tender’. The glowing and ethereal editorial depicts delicate Italian beauty, Daiana Di Finizio in the sweet bloom of life. Hazy, shadowed rooms and golden morning rays cast intrigue and subtle dreaminess to the portraiture. Her gaze echos throughout the series and lingers with you after. Reminiscent of the iconic beauty of Ali MacGraw, Daiana is purely enchanting. This is another memorable series, and a perfect compliment to our already heavy-hitting Fall Flight series!

This exquisite editorial, ‘Forgotten Ancestors’, was composed exclusively for The Libertine, as a collaboration between visionary photographer Dusan Jaukovic and couture designer Jelena Malesevic (for her personal line: Morfium Couture). The shots are purely transcendental, and model Li Xiao Xing becomes every bit the beautiful embodiment of the designs. Bold and alluring designs complement Li’s finely sculpted features and the natural beauty of one of the longest enduring sanctuaries inhabited by the Lenape people before colonization. There is a subtle mysticism to the surroundings, that is echoed in both Jelena’s creations and Li’s powerful aura. Though this story is both light and fresh, reminiscent of the longer days of summer, it felt like a perfect balancing element for our fall flight series. Not to mention, that the images are breath-taking. Enjoy!

Hypnotizing beauties Ugnė Sabalytė and Amalie Loendal tear it up in some very creative denim ensembles, created by Stylist Waina Chancy for our latest editorial ‘Still Torn Up About It’. The story is a smokin’ combination of classic and edgy. That balance can be very hard to strike, but the lens master, Tawfick Espriella, managed to manifest quite an visually pleasing reality! The clean studio environment is a flattering palette for these two youthful beauties to shine. Their warm skin glows against the bright white and brilliant blues. Makeup artist Lauren Massaro worked with the girls to craft care free grooming that communicates ‘natural stunner’ with effortless purity! The Libertine has the pleasure of releasing this fierce series as one of the last few in our fabulous Fall Flight series. The story was both shot on film and captured digitally, and thus, will be releases in a two part series. Distinct and ingenius, both…Enjoy!

But I loved getting into that character as a model. I can be shy and quiet at times, but I’m also a bit of an exhibitionist. I felt comfortable (as they might say in Louisiana) gettin’ nekkid down south.”

It’s always an pleasure to feature pieces that combine a wide range of talents, and Tyrone has conceptually perfected the art. ‘Undefined’…is really more like undefinable. The striking Philomena absolutely mesmerizes us in this straightforward, but faaar from simple, studio editorial. We have the privilege of endorsing the work of photographer Anna Daki once again; as she hits another one out of the park for Satiety Paper’s second issue: The Fall Flight. As we wrap up the last of our swim shoots and reach for our sweaters, it’s a pure pleasure to carry along some of previous contributors into the next phase with us. Photographer Evgeniya Boyarskaya has staged the lavish surroundings, in which our budding heroine can retire to her own company and revel in the sensual pleasures of her blossoming femininity. The moment that a girl transitions into a woman, is perhaps the most bewitching scene of her entire story…and this flourishing young vision gives us an intimate peek into that precious period of discovery. The series (somewhat reminiscent of the timeless Victoria’s Secret series of the infamous Russel James) presents a true fantasy realm in which the viewer can immerse oneself. ‘Paris Confidential’ comes to us from groundbreaking mastermind Lev Efimov! A long time favorite over at The Libertine, Lev has provided stylistic inspiration for our work, going back several years (see some of the blog post that have featured his creations HERE). As his trademark, conceptual innovations develop, Lev continues to hone his discerning eye for gorgeous composition and flawless imagery. As one of our most apprised submission to date, this editorial simply slays, with its coquettish overtones, vivacious revelry and unabashed eroticism. Models Polina Malanova and Vika Rin are a vision of sultry perfection; bound and strapped into delicate but daring adornments composed of everything from the most delicate, frothy lace textures to staunch leather and rope fastenings selected by stylist Denis Chechkov. The final accents were contributed by Beauty Pro Ernest Muntaniol to soften and sizzle against the girls’ pretty palettes. It takes true brilliance to (so beautiful) marry playful innocence and smoldering sexuality to the degree that this artist recurrently achieves. This attribute, as much as any of the multitude in his wheelhouse, keeps us coming back for Lev time after time. Once you discover the delectable quality of his creations…it’s impossible to get enough. We welcome back artist Adolfo Valente (this time taking aim at effervescent beauty, Teresa) as the newest contributor to our saucy Fall Flight series. In the past, Adolfo has captured the attention of our readership with his warm and glowing presentation of feminine beauty. He casts his subject beneath a sweet and guileless veil, punctuated with the captivating transformation from naive girlhood to the tender, blossoming buds of sensuality. The entrancing combination is both unique, and powerful; but manages to shine by excluding the pretense of over production. Teresa was the perfect choice to embody our tender charmer. She is both delicate and formidable without seeming heavy handed. The editorial on the whole, is a stunning success and reminds us of the classical genre created by legendary David Hamilton.
